Xining – Lanzhou – Xiahe – Lanzhou – Wuwei – Zhangye – Jiayuguan – Dunhuang – Turpan – Urumqi

  • Day 1- Hometown Fly to Beijing Fly to Xining
    Depart from the United States on to Beijing.
    Day 2- Arrive in Xining (D)
    Arrive in Xining, meet the tour guide at airport and transfer to hotel.
    Day 3- Xining Train to Lanzhou (B L D)
    Visit the Ta'er Monastery. Transfer to Lanzhou by train. Meet your guide upon arrival and transfer to hotel. Continue to visit the Gansu Provincial Museum.
    Day 4- Lanzhou (B L D)
    Visit the Bingling Thousand Buddha Caves by boat.
    Day 5- Lanzhou Bus to Xiahe (B L D)
    Take a coach to Xiahe. Visit the Sangke Prairie. Visit a Tibetan family on the prairie to have a taste of the traditional Tibetan food and learn about the unique custom.
    Day 6 - Xiahe Bus to Lanzhou (B L D)
    Visit the Labrang Monastery and watch the morning devotion. Take a coach back to Lanzhou.
    Day 7- Lanzhou Bus to Wuwei (B L D)
    Take a coach to Wuwei. Visit Leitai Han Tomb and the largest Confucius Temple in northwest China.
    Day 8- Zhangye Bus to Jiayuguan (B L D)
    Continually travel by Coach to the Jiayuguan. Visit the famous Jiayuanguan Pass, the First Fire Tower of Great Wall, and the Wei Jin Art Gallery.
    Day 9- Jiayuguan Bus to Dunhuang (B L D)
    Travel by Coach to Dunhuang, and then go for a camel-ride along the Echoing-Sand Mountain.
    Day 10- Dunhuang Train to Turpan (B L D)
    Visit Mogao Caves, Buddhist statues and Dunhuang Museum. Take an overnight soft sleeper train to Turpan in Xinjiang.
    Day 11- Turpan (B L D)
    Visit the Ancient City of Jiaohe (Yarkhoto), the Karez Well, and the Emin Minaret (Su Gong Ta).
    Day 12- Turpan Bus to Urumqi (B L D)
    Visit the Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves, the Ancient City of Gaochang and the Flaming Mountain. Travel to Urumqi by coach.
    Day 13- Urumqi Fly to USA (B)
    Transfer to airport in the morning for flight connect to Beijing to USA.
